Background:
Born at Hayton, Cumberland, the son of Thomas & Mary Jane Maclagan of Warwick Bridge, Carlisle.

The 1911 Census records for Maclagan's parents suggest he had at least five siblings: Alice (b. about 1890); Ethel (b. about 1892); Frances (b. about 1894); Thomas (b. about 1899); & Alfred (b. about 1902).

If we have the right man here, quite what the link is to Wooler, Northumberland, is unclear.
