Enlisted at Alnwick, Northumberland.
Lockey served with the Expeditionary Force in France & Flanders from 20 April, 1915 before he was killed in action on 21 March, 1918.

Background:
Born 11 November 1894, at Alnwick, Northumberland, the second son of the late William Lockey (who served with the Border Regiment) & his wife, Margaret (daughter of John & Ellen Wardle), of 45, Lisburn Street, Alnwick.
Educated at Alnwick.
Pre-war occupation: Slater.
Ancestry.co.uk has three records for him. That for the UK, Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects, 1901-1929 shows his regimental number as 24642 but the Register itself shows the correct regimental number, 34642.
