Born at Dumfries, Scotland, resident of Berwick.
Son of the late Joseph Swann Howe & Frances Catherine Howe. Frances died before 1901, possibly in India.
Joseph Swann Howe was a retired Captain of the KOSB Regiment, who died in 1911, aged 64.
