The CWGC website lists only six Haythorne's killed or died in the First World War. None carry the initials J. A., indeed not even a J., however two of the six served with the York & Lancaster Regiment although neither has a link with the wider Almwick, Amble, Rothbury, or Wooler areas.
Died of wounds received.
