Service History:
Served with the Northumberland Hussars with the rank of Corporal, then Sergeant (Regimental Service #382).

On 23 July 1915, commissioned as a (2nd?) Lieutenant, for service with the Machine Gun Corps & South Staffordshire Regiment before joining the 37th Drogras.

Landed in France with the Northumberland Hussars on 5 October 1914, & therefore was awarded a 1914 Star in addition to the British War & Victory Medals.
