Service History:
There is no trace of a W. H. Edwards on either the CWGC or Ancestry.co.uk websites with obvious links to the wider Alnwick, Amble, Rothbury- or Wooler areas. There may be a couple of remote possibilities who served with the Royal Navy but further investigation cannot be justified.

Maybe, William Henry Edwards, Stoker 1st Class, 298659, HMS Hogue, lost in action in the North Sea, 22 September 1914, could be a possibility.
