Service History:
Enlisted at Alnwick, Northumberland, on 17 January 1917, & joined the Northamptonshire Regiment.

Served with the Expeditionary Force in France & Flanders from 26 June 1917. Gassed & wounded on 19 March 1918, after which he was in hospital in France until he rejoined his unit, on 9 September 1918.

Died at No. 48 Casualty Clearing Station on 24 September, from wounds received in action the previous day.

Born on 22 December 1896, at Castle Eden, County Durham, the son of Elizabeth (daughter of John Grahamslaw) & the late William Dunn, of East Link Hall, Alnwick, Northumberland.

Educated at Ellingham, Northumberland.

Pre-war occupation: Farm Labourer, employed on his grandfather's farm.
