Background:
Born 1885, the son of Penement & the late Martha Wood (née Stephenson).

In 1911, Wood was a Stonebreaker at the local whinstone quarry. According to Ancestry.co.uk, he was resident at Lesbury which normally embraces Boulmer.

Husband of Mary Wood (née Campbell), of Scots Gap, Boulmer, Northumberland. The couple married in 1915.
