In 1911 Weddell, age 31, was working as a Coal Miner & living at Longstaffe Buildings, Radcliffe, Acklington, Northumberland with his wife Barbara & one year old daughter Margaret (b. 2 June 1909). Ten years earlier, in 1901, he had still been living with his parents, William & Thomasina Weddell, at Radcliffe.
