There is no trace of a George Brown or similar on the CWGC & Ancestry.co.uk websites with obvious links to the wider Wooler district. The Coldstream & District Local History Society website points to a possible connection with Dunbar, Berwickshire but the Society has also struggled to identify anything certain.
