Service History:
Enlisted on 23 February 1917, & served with the Expeditionsry Force in France & Flanders from 29 July 1918. Robinson was killed in action at Holnon, near St. Quentin 24 September following.
Letters from his Commanding Officer & the Chaplain testify to the esteem in which he was held by both officers & men.

Background:
Born on 7 September 1898, at Felton, Northumberland, the son of John William Robinson, of Newmoor House, Longframlington, by his wife, Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Garget, of Darlington, County Durham. Grandson of William John Robinson, of Newmoor Hall, Longramlington.
Educated at Longframlington School.
Pre-enlistment occupation: Draper's Assistant.
