Recommended on
Reverend the Hon. George Wingfield Bourke (1829-1903). A son of the 5th Earl of Mayo, George was curate at St Michaels, Alnwick, in the 1850s. He later left the town and moved to Sussex, where he became a chaplain to Queen Victoria. His eldest son, Walter, became the 8th Earl of Mayo.
