Inspector Andrew Sanderson (1860-1921). Originally from Newcastle, he served for 28 years in the Northumberland Constabulary between 1885 and 1913. He worked in Gosforth, Harbottle, Rothbury, Warkworth, Denwick and Alnwick. He rose through the ranks to become Inspector at Alnwick in 1898. He was awarded the Kings Medal for long service and good conduct.
