Indeed, searching the CWGC site reveals no casualties with surname of Darling & with the rank Trooper. Darling's first name & rank both come from 'In Memory of the Fallen: Amble & surrounding area' (Gloss Magazines Ltd.; 2014; Compiled by Jane Dargue, Jim Donnelly & Helen Lewis; p. 38).
