Formerly S4-093864, Army Service Corps.
On 19 May 1917, admitted into hospital at Eastleigh, Hampshire, suffering from shrapnel wounds received in action in France, on 3 May. Died of wounds received.

Background:
Born at Glanton, Northumberland, the eldest son of Th1omas & Elizabeth Adams, of 7, Wagonway Road, Alnwick, Northumberland.
He served an apprenticeship with Messrs. Dixon Brothers, as a Baker.
Adams's younger brother, Richard, also served in France, initially with the same regiment before transferring to the Machine Gun Corps. In April 1917, he was admitted to a St. John's Ambulence Hospital in France, suffering the effect of gas.
