Enlisted at Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland.
Died of wounds received. He was wounded in the trenches by a Trench Mortar bomb & his last words were 'Carry on the Northumberlands'.

Background:
The only son of Isabella, of 1, Queen's Road, Wooler, Northumberland (the Temperance Hotel?) & the late James Henderson.
Husband of Ann Mary Henderson.
Before enlisting in October 1915 Henderson had been an enthusiastic member of the Cheviot Street Church choir as well as the Brotherhood choir. Wooler Football Club were fortunate in having him as their secretary.
