Served with the Expeditionary Force from 17 July, & died at No. 3 Canadian Casualty Clearing Station 29 October following, of wounds received in action.

Born on 23 June 1898, at Craster, Northumberland, the son of Thomas Grey (a Coal Miner), of Panhaven Road, Amble, Northumberland, by his wife, Margaret Isabella, daughter of Martin Archbold.
Educated at the Church of England School at Dunstan, near Craster.
Pre-enlistment occupation: Coal Miner.
